Urodził się w Londynie. Działał w undergroundowych teatrach, następnie realizował reklamówki i współpracował z telewizją. Za film muzyczny "London Calling" zrealizowany na potrzeby MTV dostał prestiżowe wyróżnienie Cable Ace dla najlepszego programu muzycznego. Z doskonałym przyjęciem spotkała się także zrealizowana przez niego seria filmów przyrodniczych "Dzika przyroda". Wystąpił w dokumencie "Road to Sundance" (2000) Claire Bee i Toda Kleparskiego.

Właściwie Ilyena Mirnoff. Jedna z najbardziej cenionych brytyjskich aktorek. Urodziła się 26.07.1945 roku w Leigh-on-Sea, Essex w Anglii. Jest wnuczką emigranta z Rosji, który przybył do Wielkiej Brytanii po wybuchu Rewolucji Październikowej. Jej ojciec był instruktorem jazdy samochodem. Jej rodzina pragnęła by została nauczycielką, ale już podczas nauki występowała w trakcie weekendów i wakacji w National Youth Theatre. Za rolę Kleopatry w "Antoniuszu i Kleopatrze" (1965) Szekspira na deskach teatru Old Vic zebrała entuzjastyczne recenzje, co pozwoliło jej w 1967 roku uzyskać angaż w Royal Shakespeare Company. Tam wystąpiła m.in. w "Hamlecie" i "Troilusie i Kressydzie". Zdobyła nominację do Tony za "Taniec śmierci" Strinberga w 2002 roku. W latach 70. i 80. najchętniej obsadzano ją w filmach w rolach nasyconych drapieżnym erotyzmem. Wielką popularność przyniósł jej w latach 90. udział w kryminalnym serialu "Prime Suspect" (nagrody Emmy i BAFTA). Emmy zdobyła także za rolę w telefilmie "The Passion of Ayn Rand". Złoty Glob dostała za "Losing Chase". Za występ w filmie "Cal" zdobyła nagrodę dla najlepszej aktorki na MFFF w Cannes w 1984 roku. Po raz drugi ta nagrodą uhonorowano ją za rolę w "Szaleństwie króla Jerzego" (także nominacja do Oscara za najlepszą żeńska rolę drugoplanową). Drugą nominację do Oscara zdobyła za występ w "Gosford Park" Roberta Altmana.

Angielska aktorka teatralna i filmowa. Urodziła się 22.02.1950 roku w Birmingham. Ukończyła Manchester Polytechnic, zdobyła wykształcenie pielęgniarskie, ale postanowiła poświęcić się karierze aktorskiej. Zdobyła nagrodę BAFTA, nominację do Oscara za występ w "Edukacji Rity", za sceniczny występ w tej samej roli przyznano jej natomiast nagrodę Tony.
