Ostatnie słowa Rhetta Butlera do Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) pokonały między innymi kwestie z filmów "Ojciec chrzestny" i "Na nabrzeżach".

Listę stworzyło tysiąc pięćset osób zajmujących się branżą medialną. Sto najsłynniejszych filmowych cytatów wyłoniono z czterystu zgłoszonych do rywalizacji.

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse" ("Ojciec chrzestny") oraz "You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am" ("Na nabrzeżach") wyprzedziły w zestawieniu naiwne wyznanie Judy Garland wygłoszone w "Czarnoksiężniku z Krainy Oz" - "Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore".

Na liście znalazły się także słowa, które Humphrey Bogart wypowiedział do Ingrid Bergman w kultowej "Casablance": "Here's looking at you, kid".

Kwestia zajęła miejsce piąte, jednak w "Casablance" padło jeszcze kilka innych ważnych słów. Na liście znalazły się bowiem także kwestie: "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" (pozycja 20.), "We'll always have Paris" (miejsce 43.), "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine" (pozycja 67.), "Play it, Sam. Play As Time Goes By" (miejsce 28.).

Stwierdzeniu Scarlett O'Hara "After all, tomorrow is another day" przypadła w udziale pozycja 31., a słowom bohaterki "As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again" - miejsce 59.

You ain't heard nothin' yet" wygłoszone przez Ala Jolsona w filmie "Śpiewak jazzbandu" (pozycja 71.).

Najmłodsze kwestia to stwierdzenie "My precious", które w przeboju "Dwie Wieże" wyszeptał Andy Serkis (miejsce 85.).

Na liście znalazło się kilka kwestii z dzieł fantastyczno-naukowych, między innymi słowa "May the Force be with you" wygłoszone przez Harrisona Forda w "Gwiezdnych wojnach" (pozycja 8.).

Stwierdzenie Arnolda Schwarzeneggera "I'll be back" z "Terminatora" zajęło miejsce 37.

Toga!" z filmu "Menażeria" znaleźli się na miejscu 82. zestawienia, natomiast Cuba Gooding Jr. z okrzykiem "Show me the money!" ("Jerry Maguire") uplasowali się na pozycji 25.

W zestawieniu znalazły się także kwestie przyprawiające kinomanów o dreszcze przerażenia, między innymi słynne słowa Jacka Nicholsona "Here's Johnny!" z klasycznego "Lśnienia" (miejsce 68.) oraz szept Haley'a Joela Osmenta - "I see dead people" z "Szóstego zmysłu" (pozycja 44.)

Patrick Swayze i kwestia "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" wygłoszona w przeboju "Dirty Dancing" zajęli miejsce 98. w rankingu.

Słowa "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!" Margaret Hamilton z filmu "Czarnoksiężnik z Krainy Oz" uplasowali się na pozycji 99., natomiast okrzyk "I'm king of the world!"
